Child Therapy
Area of PracticeParenting doesn’t come with a manual–and sometimes children face challenges that feel bigger than what you can solve on your own. Children and parents both need skills to thrive and become resilient. When given the right tools, guidance, and support, children can build confidence, emotional strength, and healthier ways to cope with what life throws at them. Your child may be overcoming anxiety, trauma, anger, behavior, OCD, grief, or any other of life’s transitions and challenges, but they don’t have to go through it alone. Play therapy offers a safe, supportive space where children can express themselves in the way they know best—through play. Using art, storytelling, and play-based approaches, we help children process their experiences, learn new coping skills, and feel seen, heard, and understood. As therapists we work collaboratively with both children and caregivers, so that the family as a whole feels supported and equipped. Together, we can build lasting skills for emotional health and resilience. Seeking support is an act of love and strength. With time, practice, and guidance, these skills become second nature. Let’s build them together. Paris Miles, LPC, Play Therapist, EMDR trained.
