Kristina Farmer

Welcome to one of the most courageous steps we can take in looking at ourselves and our situations honestly and then begin making the desired changes. My passion is to create an environment where you feel safe to make yourself known and heard in order to facilitate the healing process. I work to meet you right where you are, establish trust and respect and then begin taking steps together that lead you on a path of discovery towards healing and resolution.

With over fifteen years experience working in a variety of settings including a counseling center at a local church, social services, group practice, international missions and as a director at a local ministry, I have been exposed to both the diversity and the complexity of the issues of life as well as how to effectively and uniquely work with you to heal the roots of your pain. My approach is to combine the best of psychotherapy by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, active listening and empathy.

For those that desire it, I also incorporate Biblical principles, spiritual direction and inner healing techniques. I work with individuals and teens focusing on life issues that range from minor to major life adjustments, anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, relationships, grief and loss.

Every client amazes and inspires me by the resilience, wisdom and perseverance they demonstrate and by championing a transformative work in their lives. This is the most rewarding job on the planet and never boring!

When I am outside the office, I love to be in nature, drink coffee, spend time with my husband, family and friends, play pickle-ball and hike.
